Brighton and Sussex CTU

The Brighton and Sussex Clinical Trials Unit (BSCTU) is a fully registered UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) trials unit. We provide support and expertise for clinical researchers in the south east and beyond in the development of funding applications, trial design, study management, quality assurance, data analysis, dissemination and trial close-down.

BSCTU can support clinical research across a range of disciplines that will contribute to the evidence base for the diagnosis, management and prevention of disease.

Please get in touch to discuss working with us on your research project.

What do we support?

The CTU supports high‑quality clinical trials and multi‑centre research across all areas of health and social care. While some members of our team are core‑funded and available to help researchers shape study designs and develop competitive grant applications, most CTU involvement in a project must be resourced through the research grant itself.

To make sure your grant application includes the right level of CTU support, we encourage you to talk to us early in the grant development process. Early discussions help us plan appropriately and ensure accurate costing of the resources your study will need.
