Introduction
If you have been diagnosed with motor neurone disease, you should be referred to your local Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) for help and support in managing your symptoms. An MDT is a group of health and social care professionals who work with people with MND. Some teams will be located under one roof, others will come together to discuss patient care in MDT meetings.
In some areas of Sussex, your care will be coordinated by a specialist practitioner for MND. This is a qualified health professional. Access to the service depends on which GP you are registered with.
