About this session

Tuberculosis is a formidable bacterial lung disease and the leading cause of death worldwide from a single infectious agent. The bacterium can survive in lung tissues through lengthy drug therapy and become resistant to current antimicrobial drugs.

Professor Waddell will reflect on his adventures exploring how these bacteria adapt during infection, and how this information can contribute to the development of new treatments for mycobacterial diseases.

Free event. All are welcome. If you would like to attend, please register online no later than 48 hours prior to the event.
