About this session

Inequality is growing in the UK. Despite supposedly being one of the richest countries in the world, 4.3 million children were found to be living in poverty in the United Kingdom in 2022/2023.

In November’s monthly lecture, Dr Ella O'Flaherty will look at the impact of poverty on children and why inequality matters, before exploring what we can do about it.

Ella is an SHO Doctor, currently working at Worthing Hospital. She will be entering into training in general practice next year and has a keen interest in public health.

If you have any questions about this event, or the Monthly Lecture Series, please email the Outreach Team via outreach@bsms.ac.uk

Please note, we do not provide certificates of attendance for any of our online talks or lectures in the Monthly Lecture Series.
