About the event

Following on from the original one size fits one event (2016), this family day will engage young people, patients and their families in creative arts activities that explore, play and inform, around the ideas of personalised medicine and childhood asthma, eczema and allergies. The aim is to use creative arts to communicate research around personalised medicine, the genetic and environmental factors that influence illness and treatment approaches and carry the message “one size fits one”.

The event will take the form of a cross between an immersive installation/ performance/ exhibition and workshop. Children and their families, and/ or other visitors, will create a puppet character who experiences asthma and/ or eczema. They will learn about relevant environmental factors, genetics and personalised medicine and then play the role of the medic to help their puppet get better.
