About this session
BrightIdeas 2024, is an NHS funded Medical Schools Council Pathway Programme, delivered by Brighton and Sussex Medical School and Anglia Ruskin University, that is designed to support students considering a career in medicine. BrightIdeas gives students in Year 12, across England, the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required to submit a competitive application to medical school. The programme is centred around participants undertaking a research project, with the support of a current medical student, that combines scientific literature with insights from people with lived experience of chronic conditions. Alongside completing the project, participants also attend four online events and an in-person summer school providing invaluable insights into what it’s really like to study medicine.
This information session will provide both a detailed overview of the programme activities and application process, as well an opportunity to speak with students who have recently completed the programme. Anyone who wishes to find out more about the programme is welcome to join.
