Biography

Pippa has been working as a nurse since graduating from the University of Manchester in 2010. She worked in A&E at The Royal Sussex County Hospital working her way up to a band 6 and on to a specialist resus and trauma nurse role. She left A&E in 2018 to go travelling to Australia and New Zealand and worked in several different clinical areas, taking on a temporary post in a small A&E department in the outback. On returning, Pippa worked as a sister on the Major Trauma ward at RSCH, which was changed into a Covid ward and Covid ITU department several times throughout the first few waves of the pandemic.

She is now teaching clinical skills to undergraduate medical students and the Physicians Associates students at BSMS. She delivers practical skills training sessions and helps prepare the students for their OSCE exams.

Pippa has always had a great sense of adventure and loves a challenge, from mountain climbing to sailing half the way around the world on the Clipper Round the World Race, to wild swimming and trail running. She qualified as a yoga teacher in 2020 and loves the balance yoga brings to her busy nursing life.
