Biography

Harriet is Clinical Lecturer in Diabetes and Global Health and Infection at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

Harriet obtained her medical degree from the University of East Anglia and started specialist training in diabetes and endocrinology in HEKSS. She completed her PhD investigating HbA1c in people living with HIV running a study in Brighton, England and Lusaka, Zambia. 

Harriet is further developing her research skills doing an MSc in epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Research

Harriet is currently working on a project exploring the influence of climate on glycaemia in people living with type 1 diabetes. Her additional research interests include exploring type 2 diabetes and associated complications in people living with HIV.
