Step 2

Submit your application to UCAS by the required date in October 2024.

UCAS institution code: B74
Course code: A100

Step 3

Once candidates submit their UCAS application, our admissions team will email all applicants inviting them to activate and access the University of Brighton applicant area. They will also email to invite applicants to submit any evidence of contextual data. The admissions team will then review applications. UCAT will be used to select candidates for interview who meet or are predicted to meet our academic requirements.

BSMS aims to offer 30% of its interviews to candidates with contextual data flags and applicants with contextual data are ranked separately.

Step 4

Admission interviews will take place from December 2024 through to March 2025.

Interviews will be conducted as either an in-person interview or online via Zoom for those unable to attend due to mitigating circumstances.

You can see an example of an MMI discussion (held in-person) by watching the video below.

To prepare for the MMIs, you may wish to reflect on your work experience referring to the skills and values attributes needed to study medicine published by the Medical Schools Council.

At the beginning of the interview, you must present a photo ID to confirm your identity. It is essential that the document clearly states your name in English and the photo is clear.

If you do not have your form of identification ready to hand, you will not be interviewed and you will risk forfeiting your place.
