The institute focuses on primary care, public health, clinical specialties, psychiatry, psychopharmacology and community health, leadership and professional development, and medical education. The awards are offered by the University of Brighton.
Research expertise within IPGM embraces cardiology, psychiatry, public health, general practice and aspects of health informatics.
BSMS also offers postgraduate research degrees (MPhil, PhD, MD), awarded jointly by the Universities of Brighton and Sussex.
